April Birchbox Review: The Bold and the Beautiful

April Birchbox Review: The Bold and the Beautiful

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog. This post has taken me a little longer to finally get around to with work/study commitments. I hope you have all had a fabulous bank holiday weekend wherever you are in the world.

So today I want to introduce you to the April Birchbox x Boden! I’ve been receiving the Birchbox subscription for 3 months now, and I have to say I am so impressed with it so far. Every box I have received has included at least one full size product which is nearly the value or more of the monthly subscription cost. If you find your routine has become a little boring, your using the same products over and over again or you want to try something new but don’t know what, then Birchbox is definitely for you!

So below is a picture of the box I received this month:

Manna Kadar High Definition Powder

This month all current subscribers had the opportunity to choose between two Manna Kadar products: the High Definition Powder or the Bronzer and Highlighter duo. I opted for a surprise, as I need both products (and I couldn’t make up my mind!!). It promises to produce a polished and matte look (which is great for oily/combination skin). I have only used it a couple of times since I received it and I have to say I am pretty impressed. It adds a very subtle glow to my skin where I want it to, so I look forward to using it more in my daily routine.

Nip + Fab Colour Corrector

Nip + Fab are a skincare brand which I have only recently come into contact with in my search for good skincare products. I am rather intrigued by some of their products so I was delighted to receive a colour correcting concealer. There are four different colours available which all correct the skin in different ways. The one in my box was the green (Peppermint), which promises to neutralise blemishes and red patches. I confess the reason I have not yet tried this is because I keep leaving it in the box and forgetting to put it on my base before foundation! I look forward to trying this out in the next few days and letting you know the results.

Polaar IcePure Gentle Scrub with Arctic Cotton

Polaar was a completely new brand to me when I received it this month but I am so impressed with this product. I suffer from dry skin in places and I find I do need to exfoliate every day. This is such a lovely product to use as the arctic cotton contains moisturising properties which smooths and softens the skin where needed. I find myself reaching for this scrub every couple of days. It is so gentle on the skin and provided you use light circular motions when applying to your skin, you will definitely notice a difference after a couple of days. This is a product which I plan to purchase in full size when I run out.

PARLOUR by Jeff Chastain – Volumizing Lift Spray

Parlour is again, a totally new brand to me before Birchbox. This is a hair spray which promises to add height and volume to hair, along with nourishing and strengthening. This is another product which I am yet to try, but I can see myself reaching for it when getting ready for a night out with the girls. It also has that added bonus of having a great fragrance (if that makes any sense), so if you want great smelling hair before going out, this is definitely a good product for that!

Baija Paris Creme Moana in Fleur de Tiare

When I opened by box, I was greeted by a fantastic scent of coconut, so naturally I was intrigued if whether or not I had a fragrance sample. It turns out I didn’t, and the scent was from this body cream and it was actually Tiare flower which I could smell. Again, a totally new brand to me, but definitely one I will purchase again. This is a super nourishing lotion, that will leave your skin soft and smelling wonderful. I can’t wait to use this more and incorporate it into my weekly routine.

Well that’s it for my Birchbox review, I hopr you all enjoyed it! If you think you would like to try a Birchbox for yourself, please follow this link to sign up and receive £5 off your first box! You can cancel anytime, but I do recommend trying it at least once.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of this bank holiday weekend, and don’t forget, the week to come will be a short one!

Tash x
